Black History Everyday Campaign

I created the Black History Everyday Campaign to honor Tougaloo College’s rich legacy in a way that felt authentic, engaging, and reflective of its history. Too often, Black History Month content feels formulaic — a generic image of a historical figure, red, yellow, and green fonts, and a caption that’s either too brief to be meaningful or too long to hold attention. I wanted to do something different.

Tougaloo College, known as the cradle of the civil rights movement, has a wealth of stories that extend far beyond February. This campaign shed light on lesser-known events and figures through dynamic videos that captured attention and celebrated what makes Tougaloo, Tougaloo. It was about making history feel alive and relevant every day.
